When ever you go outside along with your child,you are expected to carry diaper bag with the necessary items so that there won’t be any unforeseen events happen.
You will be far away from home for a short while, and as a mother, you should be able to anticipate the needs of your baby, and their stuffs should be ready to avoid tantrums and frustrations on their part, as well as anxiety on your end. Remember to always bring extra.
If you wonder what to put in a diaper bag, here is the checklist that helps you with the list of items to be carried in diaper bag:
1.) Diapers– At least five or six if you are out of your home for the whole day.
2.) Baby Wipes– You do not need to carry the whole package have a smaller travel holder and restock it.
3.) Hand Sanitizer– For disinfecting your hands after changing diapers if water and soap is inaccessible.
4.) Tissues– Carry it for drying purposes.
5.) Changing pad– A place where you can change diapers.
6.) Medications– Make sure to have zinc oxide for rashes or antibacterial ointment if needed and it is advised by your pediatrician.
7.) Plastic bags– This can be used to place your soiled, disposable diapers, wet bottles or clothes.
8.) Complete set of baby’s clothes– Take about 1 to 2 sets of clothes and include socks, hat, sweater or jacket.
9.) Sunblock– Carry it on just in case you and your baby will be both exposed by the sun.
10.) Extra milk formula and sterilized non fluoridated water– If you are bottle feeding keep it packed and ready and measured already.
11.) Breast pads– Carry these if you are breast-feeding.
12.) Snacks &Water bottle– In a plastic containers or plastic bags keep snack like cereals and crackers. Also have insulated bag for cold items like breast milk or yogurt.
13.) Baby Spoon– keep in a reusable plastic bags.
14.) Bib– Take 1 or 2 of this to keep baby clean while feeding.
15.) Pacifier– If your baby uses them, bring 2 extra clean pacifiers.
16.) Teething toys– If necessary bring this.
17.) Small towel– Bring towel or cloth to wipe spills and spits.
18.) First-aid kit– Bring a small one that contains emergency medications for pain and fever.
19.) Bring water and reading material for you.
